Covelli "Coco" Crisp Kansas City Royals Centerfielder: As a youngster, Covelli Crisp's great grandmother Wilda Smith called him "Co". His sister Sheileah and godbrother Marcus, inspired by Cocoa Krispies cereal, lengthened it to "Coco," and the nickname stuck. Attended Los Angeles' Pierce Junior College following his graduation from Inglewood High School in Los Angeles, where he played 3rd base. Is one of 8 MLB RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program alumni to play in the majors. Was inducted into the RBI League Hall of Fame in 2006.
